Crocheting the growth patterns of yeast during one of our Virtual Life Science workshops at Rawmarsh School.

Virtual Life Science is an innovative partnership between Rawmarsh Community School, The University of Sheffield Departments of Animal and Plant ScienceBiomedical Science & Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, lead artist Paul Evans and Human graphic design studio.

Over the course of eight weeks from 15th April until 10th June 2015, pupils from Year 9 have researched, designed and developed a series of artworks based on the work of eight life science researchers.

This project is based on the success of Virtual Social Science, our pilot collaboration with  The University of Sheffield Faculty of Social Sciences, which ran from November 2013 until May 2014 .
